China’s Semiconductor Value Chain

The construction of China’s semiconductor industry began in the 1960s, and with more than forty years of development, China’s semiconductor value chain is molding. China has become a hot place for both production and consumption in the worldwide semiconductor market due to its continuous rapid economic growth and the Chinese government’s policy to develop its semiconductor industry. This presentation will discuss the basic supply chain of the China IC industry which includes the following:
IC Design – The presentation will provide an overview of the rapidly growing China IC Design industry, and will discuss the distribution of fabless semiconductor companies in China and the status of IC DH technology.
Foundry – The presentation will discuss the status of leading Chinese foundries, their relationship with IC DH and test and packaging facilities.
Test and Packaging – In-Stat will share our most up-to-date data on the technology and operating status of major test and packaging facilities.
Drivers and barriers will also be analyzed and a brief introduction to the Chinese semiconductor market and its future trends will be given.
