Data Slicing Techniques for UHF ASK Receivers

Abstract: Amplitude-shift keying (ASK) and on-off keying (OOK) receivers are used for intermittent low-data-rate
applications like RKE, home security, garage-door openers, and remote controls. The data that comes to an ASK or OOK
receiver from a remote transmitter is reconstructed in the data slicer. The data slicer is, therefore, an integral part of ASK
and FSK receivers that operate in the 260MHz to 470MHz short-range UHF ban
